Capture the life of your music in an expertly designed room, through state-of-the-art equipment, and with technicians who are also musicians. The benefit of having your music recorded by fellow musicians, well versed in a wide variety of genres, is that they understand the essential elements to bring your music to life, and they genuinely support you in capturing its essence.
The hot tub and sauna will melt away prior stresses; over three acres of grass and trees, historic artifacts, garden, and orchard are a welcome place for relaxation and contemplation; your themed guest room is a cozy home-away-from-home; espresso, fresh baked treats, and home-cooked meals are supplied in abundance; and, of course, the studio is the stuff musicians’ dreams are made of.

David Robinson
Founder, Mastering, Sound Engineer, Musician
David Robinson's musical journey began in his teenage years when he discovered his passion for the bass guitar, performing with several bands during high school. His formal music education includes completing the jazz program at Grant MacEwan University, where he received guidance from John Taylor in mastering the electric bass. Subsequently, he earned a Bachelor of Music degree with a specialization in classical double bass from Ambrose University. Notably, David served as the Head of Audio at Ambrose University for four years.
David's expertise extends beyond playing the electric and double bass; he excels in transcription, arrangement, audio mixing, mastering, and copywriting. His diverse experience spans various musical domains, such as orchestral, jazz, choral accompaniment, musical theater, studio recordings, audio and sound design, audio consulting, teaching, copyist, arrangement, and writing.
Proficient in multiple music genres, David leverages his extensive musical knowledge and finely tuned ears to excel in live sound mixing, recording, and mastering for musical, theatrical, and spoken productions. His services have been sought by numerous institutions in Alberta, where he provides mobile live performances and recording services.
Currently, David's role at Ambrose University involves overseeing all audio performances and recordings. Through his passion and expertise, David adeptly captures and preserves the essence and narrative of musical performances, ensuring they endure for years to come. Presently, David offers his talents as a performance and recording artist, a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer, and as a teacher and consultant in the realm of music.
